Well well, there is life in Chiba after all. Having lamented the brutal crossing by highway needed to get to Kuwata and the western Kurushio coast of the Boso Peninsula, and having heard about and experienced the jams trying to get across the narrow roads on weekends and holidays to reach the Aqua Line - I have finally discovered the Kurihama-Kanaya Ferry. Bikes roll on and off with no fanfare, and Keikyu Kurihama is only a few minutes away. On the Boso side, a slog down the coast road but once you reach Tateyama a wealth of easily accessible opportunities opens up. Enjoy. I certainly intend to do so when I can - sailing, snorkeling, golf, surfing, fishing, spearfishing, good food, bicycling, sake, etc.

Sumie's new Pentax is waterproof for several meters. It was cold but as usual, colder in the imagination than in the body, so we swam.
